Spice it up
Well last night LJ and I talked briefly about changing up our everyday routine...work, kiss when he walks in the door, eat, watch TV, go to sleep.
We have instituted date night! YAY. We also are going to work on making the days more special. Days where the TV must be turned off, and we just sit and enjoy each others company. Maybe play a board game or two, talk about life, dance...whatever we feel like doing. You should try it too.
We use to go to a new restaurant every other Friday, but since funds have been tight (I have been unemployed all summer) we have not been able to go. Once we start again we will definitely write reviews.
STAY TUNED!

One Year Anniversary
I am married to a great man, he is my college sweetheart. We dated on and off for 6 years before we got engaged. We officially tied the knot on 8-2-08 and our first year has been one full of ups and downs...but love has remained a common theme through every situation.
Let me rewind a little bit...Early March 2009 we found out we were expecting our first child (YAY) 7+ months into marriage. Everything was going so smoothly. We were so happy and I just knew we were going to have a little boy. In June (5months pregnant) I went into early labor and our world as we knew it had changed. Our baby boy passed away. He was with us for 2hrs and 22 min. I like to tell myself my angel had more important work to do in heaven so God called him home.
While in the hospital I got a call from my old boss and he said Nicole if you and your husband can survive this...your marriage can survive anything. Those words hit so deeply. I have never looked at my husband the same since that early June morning that we lost our son. I now look at him with tender eyes and I have a love for him that I never knew I had. Ten months after being married we survived loosing our baby Aiden Lionell Uziah and it has made us closer. A month later my grandmother passed away. We celebrated our one year anniversary with family mourning my grandmothers passing.
This has been one CRAZY year, but I know we share a lifetime love. I know that we are connected not only in the flesh but in the spirit. We invite you to read our blog as we share our stories. We hope to help you keep the fire burning in your life, with your own lifetime love. Follow us as we figure out date nights, having another baby, and just doing the everyday stuff.
